Oh, I know; you're thinking, 'this doesn't apply to me'. You are kidding yourself!! Everyone has 'heart problems' at one time or another.
It might be that you broke up with your girlfriend/boyfriend. Or you've said something that hurt someone's feelings and haven't apologized, and things
aren't working out in the friendship department. OR it might really be 'heart problems'......as in physical. He's in the miracle working business as well!
Well, friend, I am here to tell you that it isn't healthy to have 'stress' in your life!! Stress is brought about when you have unattended things
in your life, such as differences between you and a person. Maybe you disagree with someone in the church and you've had words, or you hold a grudge for
something that one has done to you. Or perhaps someone you considered your friend has said something to you that you felt was unkind. Have you really
evaluated the statement made, reasoned it out in your own mind, with the help of GOD? Have you come to any conclusion, such as maybe, just maybe that friend
was trying to be a help, and you took what was said the wrong way? It does happen, believe me.
Sometimes friends, as well as ourselves, mean well, but don't wait for the appropriate time to give advice. We didn't want it when they 'dished' it out. AND they stepped
on our toes, we were offended, and now the 'heart' is hurting. Sure WORDS hurt, especially when they aren't given with LOVE, and only GOD can give you the kind of love to accompany the words to heal. If you try this own your own, then you will undoubtedly hurt someone. Words, not 'fitly spoken' [ Proverbs 25:11 ], can surely pack a powerful punch to our ego! So, now, it's happened to you; you don't know where to turn.
|
Proverbs 25:11 A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver. |
It's those hidden feelings in our heart that the public can't see. We can 'camouflage' our feelings from the outside, but they might be eating us alive on the inside. Friend, you have come to the right place; there is a 'heart specialist' in the HOUSE!

Psalms 7:10 My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart. |
David said his defense was God. God knew his heart; after all, he said that David was 'a man after mine own heart' [ Acts 13:22 ]. When you are faced with obstacles that seem to hard for you to bear - troubles, trials, tribulations, even minor problems - then GOD is the person with whom you want to be in touch.
Too often, we wait until these things come along, before we 'commune' with God. We need to guard against the 'wiles of the devil' ...... the very things that can keep you from the love of God. Satan knows how to attack, whether through your body with sickness, or through the words of another, bringing, hurt and pain. But,
when you load your ARMOR CASE with the Word of God, then you are better prepared when the attacks come. You know you have the weapons of warfare, or the words of peace ..... whatever it takes in order to regain you feelings of contentment. God is always there; it's we who are sometimes 'absent'. So be prepared; get in the
Word daily, and gain the 'strength' to make it through every day.
| Heavenly Father, we give you praise this morning, for you are worthy to be praised. We thank you that you are there, regardless of how we feel. We know
that you are able to do all things. We only need to bring our problems to you and leave them there. We need not lean on our own understanding but trust you to lead, guide, and direct our paths in the way we should go, and we
will have a peace that passeth all understanding. Help us to give you our troubles and to be ready when that next attack comes, for being in the flesh, we know it's coming. But we also know we can be prepared with the TRUTH.
In Jesus name, we pray. Amen. |
