!!!!Do you enjoy receiving a compliment from another individual? How
about from someone close to you that you love? It's great, isn't it!!
Do you compliment God? You should! Take a look at
I Chronicles 16:28: "Give unto the Lord glory and strength."
Yes, you know how - "Praise God" "with uplifted hands."
I Timothy 2:8 "I will therefore that: Men pray every where, lifting
up holy hands,
without wrath and doubting."
Question? What's that, you say? How is this a compliment to God? -
"Give glory and strength unto God." O. K., you say, but how is this to
be considered a compliment?
Let's go back to the beginning - - -
Genesis 1:26-27 And God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our
likeness."
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created He him,
male and female created He them.
(see also Genesis 5:1 & 2)
Since God created me in His image, I should imitate my Father. He
created me in His likeness. Therefore, I know that He likes the same
things I like. And, if you think we should not try to imitate God the
Father, take a look at Matthew 5:48 where Jesus gave us the instruction
to: "BE YE THEREFORE PERFECT, EVEN AS YOUR FATHER WHICH IS IN HEAVEN IS
PERFECT."
I don't know about you, but I believe in complimenting my God. Unto Him
will I give praise, glory, honor, and thanks. I know that He returns all
this unto me in the form of joyful living "life", and a life of plenty it
is.
Thank you Father, for showing me how I should give thanks to you
and
also why I should do so. Thank you for giving me everything I
could ever
want and much more. I am thy faithful and humble servant.
